Atlanta Metro Donates Water to Flint, Michigan
It is getting closer to the end of their water crisis but Flint, Michigan residents still need bottled water. A Flint, MI native, Mr. Tom Williams (Sales Associate) living in Atlanta, asked customers visiting the Auto Nation Nissan dealership on Thornton Road in Lithia Springs to donate 1 case of water to be delivered to Flint.
The Atlanta Metro Club went to the dealership on September 4th and donated 40 cases of bottled water. Mr. Williams and the store manager were on hand to accept the water. Mr. Williams will be making the trip up to Flint very soon to deliver the much needed water. Members on hand to deliver the water were: Willie Alexander, Ashleigh Durr, Pauline Finch, Club President Jason Johnson, Shelia Morrow, Ronald Simpson & Vanessa Stanley.
Hands on Atlanta/Meals On Wheels
Six Atlanta Metro members assembled and packed over 400 meals at Hands on Atlanta/Meals on Wheels on Saturday, September 17th. These meals are delivered to citizens who can’t prepare their own daily meals. The group assembled breakfast, lunch and dinner meals that will be distributed throughout the Atlanta Metro area. Giving meals to these individuals allow them to maintain an independent life. This is an ongoing project for the Atlanta Metro Club. The six members that served were: James Abson, Willie Alexander, Ashleigh Durr, Jason Johnson, Shelia Morrow and Harry Price.
