Prevent Falls in 2016

Injuries from falls are a leading reason Cobb County residents visit hospital emergency rooms – about one Cobb resident per hour, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Throughout September, the Cobb County Public Library System is hosting programs for all ages to raise awareness about falls prevention and other safety-oriented resources.

For seniors, falls can be devastating and life-altering. The good news: “Serious falls are not an inevitable part of aging.”

Friday, September 16, 11 am to 3 pm: WellStar Health Screening @ South Cobb Regional Library
Friday, September 16, 11 am to 5 pm: Free Vision Screening by South Cobb Lions Club at South Cobb Regional Library
Monday, September 19, 11 am to 3 pm: WellStar Health Screening @ Gritters Library
Monday, September 19, 11 am to 3 pm: Free Vision Screening by East Cobb Lions Club at Gritters Library
