Thank you from Project Mail Call

A Thank You note from Mary and Ed Ettel at Project Mail Call.

Thank you, East Cobb Lions Club, for packing with us Tuesday (9/26/17) night! You packed 28 care-packages weighing a total of 391 pounds. The boxes are on their way to 339 Airmen, Marines, Sailors and Soldiers in 14 different military units in Afghanistan, Cuba, Guam, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, The Philippines, two undisclosed locations, a Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM-161) aboard the USS San Diego (LPD-22), and two undisclosed locations.

During your packing session, you enabled Project Mail Call to pass the milestone of 128,000 pounds (64 tons!) of merchandise mailed to our military over the past 12 years. Edward Mejia, a prospective member, reached another milestone, and we congratulate him for becoming a U.S. citizen last month.

This was your tenth packing session over the past 7 years. We thank you for your financial donation that helped pay for the session’s mailing costs. Of course we also thank Lion Henry Bohn for bringing the wonderful pizza and drinks. In addition, we thank Holly Freeman and Pam Jenn for their assistance as facilitators.

You can check the Project Mail Call website for more information about your packing session:
